Sploder isn't built around one kind of game. Top-down adventures, arena shooters, puzzle boxes, racing courses, dungeon crawlers, escape rooms, stealth missions — the same toolkit makes them all. You decide what your game feels like.

  • Twin-stick combat, classic arcade controls, or pure top-down navigation.
  • Adventure quests with locked doors, collectible keys, and multi-room worlds.
  • Puzzle boxes wired together with pressure pads, switches, and timers.
  • Survival runs with oxygen meters, lava floors, and burning hazards.

Level editor

Paint worlds out of pieces

Drop walls, doors, hazards, enemies, and items onto a tile grid. Stitch any number of rooms into a single world with portals, exits, and color-coded keys.

  • Brush, line, and flood-fill tools, plus copy / paste / rotate / flip selections.
  • Procedural generators: caves, dungeons, mazes, labyrinths, rivers, scatter, terrain.
  • Multi-scene worlds with portals, scene-to-scene teleporters, and locked colored doors.
  • Layered editing: floor, walls, items, AI, background — toggle each layer on or off.

Sprite editor

Pixel art, in the browser

Re-skin a single enemy or the entire game. Every entity gets up to five visual states (idle, walk, melee, hurt, death) with up to five animation frames each.

  • 7×7 pixel canvas with a chunky retro palette and one-click palette swap.
  • Directional facing, animation playback, mask-mode pixels for diagonals.
  • Save your art as a sprite pack and share it as a single file.

SFX designer

Procedural sound on every event

Sploder generates sound effects in the browser — no audio uploads. Tune the parameters of every event, from footsteps to explosions, and they bake into a snappy, single-link game.

  • Sounds bind to events: hit, fire, pickup, jump, alert, explode, collect, click.
  • Per-entity overrides: give your boss a different roar than your grunt.
  • Single-shot, sustained, ambient, and spatial-attenuated playback modes.

Music composer

A sequencer, in the studio

Compose loops without leaving the browser. Multi-track step sequencer, instrument sculptors, BPM control, and a loop library you can pull from at any time.

  • 16-step grid across up to 8 measures, with per-track sculptors for tone shaping.
  • Multiple synth tracks plus drums; each track gets its own filter, envelope, and vibrato.
  • Save and reuse loops across scenes — pick a different track per room.

Build together

Make games with friends, live

Share a link and your friends drop into your game with you. Paint scenes side by side, watch each other's cursors, and pile into the same room — every edit lands in real time.

  • One-click invite link — friends join straight from the URL, no extra account setup.
  • Live cursors and color-coded presence so you always know who's where.
  • Pause the room any time the host needs space to think, kick anyone who shouldn't be there.
  • Owner stays in charge of project-wide assets; friends help paint, place, and explore.

Rewind

Roll back any moment

A collab session keeps a rolling history of recent moments. Hit Rewind, scrub a video-style slider, and the world jumps to that snapshot instantly. Confirm to roll back, or cancel to keep going.

  • Live preview while you scrub: the canvas reflects the chosen moment without committing.
  • Auto-captured every few seconds — there's always something to rewind to.
  • Friend got carried away with the lava brush? One scrub puts the room back the way it was.
  • When the session ends, take one last look — review the final seconds before saving.

Free-for-All

A live arena in every game

Flip multiplayer on when you publish and your game becomes a live arena. Friends join by share link, the host hits Start, and the match runs for real — every hit, respawn, and victory settled by the same rules that govern solo play.

  • Up to 4 players in a Free-for-All match, all from the same share link — no install, no extra setup.
  • The match runs on a real server, not peer-to-peer — no rubberbanding, no cheating your score.
  • Live match feed, big defeat callouts, and a final scoreboard with the winner highlighted.
  • Host another round in a click — the lobby resets in place, your friends come along, no rejoin needed.

Share & remix

Publish, share, and remix

Hit Publish and you get a single URL anyone can play in the browser. Share the assets too and other players can fork your sprites, sounds, and music.

  • One-click publish to a public /g/your-game URL with auto-generated link previews.
  • Share-as-template: export any scene (or a whole project) as a starting kit other players can remix.
  • Built-in My Games library for everything you've published or saved.
